About the role

Founded in 1966, Niterra North America, Inc. (formerly NGK Spark Plugs) is the world leader in technology, innovation, and world-class quality in the design of spark plugs and oxygen sensors. Today, that tradition continues as we transform our organization's portfolio, expand our core ceramic technologies, explore capabilities beyond traditional areas, and challenge ourselves to develop solutions and services that leverage technology to address social issues while contributing to a sustainable society. The Data Supervisor oversees the Master Data Analyst team, managing the stewardship of changes and additions to material, customer, and vendor master data in SAP. Based at our North American Headquarters in Wixom, Michigan, this role elevates the Master Data function beyond transactional data entry by building a culture of proactive data stewardship, where the team critically analyzes and questions incoming data from other departments to protect accuracy and integrity. The Supervisor also serves as an organizational educator, developing best practices, supporting Data Governance SOPs, and training non-technical stakeholders on how master data impacts downstream business processes. This role requires driving, business travel by public transportation, lifting up to 40 pounds, and the associated hazards of an office environment and travel.

  • Ensure all master data processes comply with regulatory requirements, internal controls, audit standards, and change management protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with PLM, Forecasting, and Project Management leadership to support operational excellence and cross-functional integration initiatives.
  • Evaluate existing workflows on an ongoing basis (including SharePoint and SAP routing), identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending scalable solutions to DCX leadership.
  • Perform all other job-related tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures as applicable.
