About the role

The Massage Therapist at Grand View Spa is an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences. They will ensure guests have an enjoyable, relaxing experience by engaging with them in a courteous and efficient manner, providing a variety of touch modalities including massage and body treatments. The role involves suggesting products and services to meet individual guest needs while exemplifying Snow King Resort and Spa culture.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all massage services including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, and Prenatal massages, as well as body treatments, following established protocols and allotted treatment times.
  • Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide the highest level of guest-centric personalized service while maintaining an enthusiastic attitude.
  • Conserve and monitor supplies and assets of the spa; inform Spa Director of product needs for backbar and retail.
  • Complete shift checklists daily, replenishing supplies, cleaning equipment, and re-stocking laundry.
  • Maintain high standards of service and cleanliness.
  • Assist in the training of other team members as directed.
  • Assist with special projects, events, and promotions as needed.
  • Promote spa services and products throughout the property.
  • Recommend home care products and services, preferably in written format, to guests as appropriate.
  • Represent Grand View Spa and Snow King Resort in a positive and professional manner.
  • Market the spa internally and externally by attending special events and building relationships.
  • Clean and disinfect all equipment, including sinks and tables, on a daily or service-to-service basis.
  • Ensure all sanitization standards of work areas are upheld.
  • Assist with lifting and storing facility equipment and products.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures; report incidents or accidents immediately.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with appearance standards.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor with a focus on teamwork.
  • Ability to think proactively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact well with guests and associates.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts in a constructive and tactful manner.
  • Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current MBLEX or NCBTMB Certification.
  • Proficiency in at least three additional specialty modalities, including Hot Stone, Salt Stone massages, and Muscle Energy Techniques.
  • Minimum of one year verified hands-on experience.
  • Prior luxury spa experience is a strong plus.
