Marketing Transformation Senior Manager - Life Sciences
About the role
You will directly work with life-sciences clients to bring ideas and innovation for customer relationships, digital marketing, ecommerce, and omni-channel solutions. You will aid clients in transforming their commercial organizations—including marketing, brand, IT, and business units—by strategizing, designing, developing, and implementing operating models and organizational constructs that enable new ways of delivering value.
You will drive new ideas with clients, ensuring client value and execution are central. You’ll lead strategic engagements that encompass assessments, digital strategy, improved ways of working, and roadmaps to provide recommendations aligned with industry best practices and client business objectives. You’ll also design and activate Accenture’s agency and management consulting services for life-sciences clients.
Responsibilities
- Rethink how life-sciences clients go to market, engage customers, build campaigns, and measure performance.
- Develop new operating models and organizational structures that encompass talent, ways of working, technology, and governance within and across marketing, sales, IT, and customer-experience organizations to unlock value and meet business outcomes.
- Lead teams in adopting new commercial operating models and marketing capabilities through change management, training, communication plans, and roll-out plans in a regulated environment.
- Gather and analyze client information to identify opportunities to improve integrated commercial performance and operations; design roadmaps, organizations, and operations to deliver improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and build industry-leading digital solutions, drawing inspiration from other industries.
- Identify inefficiencies and areas of opportunity within a client’s commercial organization and determine strategic implications; define detailed plans (people, process, technology) to generate improvements.
- Leverage expertise in marketing strategy, brand and campaign operations, and sales to develop and implement plans and approaches.
- Engage with senior-level clients to collaborate on solutions and approaches that improve and grow their ability to meet business objectives.
- Support new business opportunities through client relationship development, pitches, and RFP responses.
- Work with Accenture Song Industry leadership to develop and deliver new business through trust-based relationships with key client stakeholders responsible for digital initiatives, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Serve as a thought leader in marketing challenges, orchestrating and operating in new ways (e.g., Agile Marketing, legal/medical/regulatory transformation, content innovation) to exceed industry standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of marketing transformation experience specifically in Life Sciences, gained at a client, agency, vendor, or consultancy.
- Working knowledge of tools used by life-sciences commercial organizations: Veeva, Adobe, SFDC, Anthropic, and Open Evidence.
- Minimum 3 years of experience consulting as a marketing strategist or defining process and organizational design solutions in a business environment.
- Experience working with clients or as part of a pharma marketing team in one or more of the following specialisms: Personalization, Operating Models, Omnichannel, Tagging & Taxonomy, Marketing & Brand Strategy, Pharma media, Brand launch, SEO, and GEO.
- Expertise in process design, simplification, and automation, with the ability to explain how and where to unlock efficiencies or improve effectiveness.
- Experience leading and facilitating working sessions, workshops, business development efforts, and constructing long-term plans for developing marketing operating model capabilities and services.
- Knowledge of organizational design principles and strategy, and experience architecting and implementing organizational change.
- Ability to establish and grow long-term trusted client relationships over time, becoming the client’s “go-to” trusted advisor.
- Proven track record of growing revenue streams within or at global large-enterprise organizations; experience as part of a business development team.

- Strong critical thinking skills: ability to identify opportunities, architect solutions, and communicate strategic ideas clearly and simply.
- Understanding of new product launches and the associated processes from planning to execution.
- Subject-matter expertise in specific therapeutic areas (e.g., oncology, diabetes, immunology).
- Expertise in integrated marketing operations and processes, with a focus on designing and understanding data-driven multichannel relationship marketing organizations across web, mobile, social, email, and traditional direct marketing.
- Direct customer interaction, working closely with sales, marketing, and operations personnel; acting as an expert in the sales process by listening to customer needs and transforming them into solutions.
- Proven experience architecting, implementing, and managing organizational change.
- Knowledge of key business performance metrics and KPIs, and digital marketing best practices.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills; willingness to learn, innovate, and grow.
- Able to collaborate across disciplines, teams, and organizational lines.
- Understanding of CRM strategic concepts and services.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.

Pay
Compensation varies based on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience. The following ranges reflect the annual salary for this role in select U.S. locations:
- California: $132,500 to $338,300
- Cleveland: $122,700 to $270,600
- Colorado: $132,500 to $292,200
- District of Columbia: $141,100 to $311,200
- Illinois: $122,700 to $292,200
- Maine: $112,900 to $249,000
- Maryland: $132,500 to $292,200
- Massachusetts: $132,500 to $311,200
