About the role
The Marketing Technology Manager is part IT specialist and part integrated marketing specialist who serves on the Marketing and Communications (MarComm) team of UNC Charlotte's Digital and Professional Learning (DPL). This role develops marketing and technology strategies and implements marketing efforts, including websites, marketing automation, and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of the unit's web presence, including creating new web pages and landing sites on the WordPress platform and leading governance and upkeep of existing and legacy DPL websites.
- Assist with the migration of websites currently on the Drupal CMS platform to WordPress.
- Administer the marketing automation tool (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), including one-off email campaigns and orchestrating automated communication journeys.
- Measure the effectiveness and results of executed campaigns using analytical tools such as Google Analytics (GA4) and Salesforce.
- Manage integrations and maintenance of products used by the marketing team for campaign research and execution.
- Stay current on the digital marketing and marketing technology landscape to support best-in-class strategies for upcoming initiatives.
- Participate in University communication meetings as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining websites within a content management system (CMS), including CSS customization, theme development, and responsive web design.
- Professional certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or another recognized marketing automation platform, or demonstrated proficiency through relevant training and professional experience.
- Professional certification in Google Analytics or a comparable analytics platform, or demonstrated proficiency in web analytics and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and optimizing automated marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, customer journey development, responsive HTML email creation, and campaign performance measurement.
- Demonstrated experience integrating and leveraging CRM, CMS, marketing automation, and analytics platforms to support lead generation, enrollment marketing, reporting, and data-informed decision-making.
Pay
Salary Range: $50,586 - $60,683
Schedule
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours required as necessary.
