About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Marketing, this position will lead strategic marketing initiatives and brand-building activities as part of the Strategic Marketing and Communications Department (SM+C). The role involves researching, developing, planning, and collaborating cross-functionally to implement marketing strategies that enhance the organization’s brands and increase revenue through various initiatives. The Strategic Marketing and Communications Department stewards a consistent brand voice, activates the brand to engage key constituents, and supports non-aeronautical revenue growth and passenger engagement through strategic campaigns grounded in research and analytics.
Relationships
- Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Manager, Strategic Marketing.
- Supervision: No direct reports; may direct the work of contractors as assigned.
- Organizational: Frequent contact with MAC departments and divisions and manager-level staff; regular collaboration with SM+C team members; occasional contact with MAC directors and senior staff.
- External Partners: Frequent contact with airport tenants, media partners, vendors, consultants, agency partners, and members of the public.
Responsibilities
- Lead marketing strategy and planning:
- Develop, plan, and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns for assigned clients (internal MAC departments) to drive revenue, achieve strategic goals, and enhance brand presence and reputation.
- Produce strategic analysis around growth opportunities, marketing insights, and core business metrics to drive efficiencies, decision-making, and results.
- Research brand audience profiles and provide actionable consumer insights to inform marketing strategies.
- Drive annual strategic marketing plan deliverables utilizing primary and secondary research, data analysis, consumer insights, market trends, and media planning.
- Oversee annual marketing and advertising budget for assigned projects and deliver a positive return on investment.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs), design and implement marketing testing, and incorporate learning into future strategic plans.
- Serve as a proactive strategic resource to clients, internal team members, and consultants, providing high-level marketing and communications recommendations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to lead internal and external strategic marketing initiatives:
- Accountable for the creation of integrated channel strategy and messaging specific to various customer experience and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Prioritize clear marketing and communications objectives to drive brand awareness and growth.
- Ensure all client campaigns, events, and projects are strategically grounded and coordinated with other client, department, and organization initiatives.
- Partner with creative and communications team members to develop and execute targeted marketing and communications initiatives that adhere to brand standards.
- Research channel consumption and trends to identify key channel insights and recommend optimal macro marketing mix.
- Recommend budget allocations to meet client business objectives and inform marketing leadership.
- Develop project and creative briefs and communicate strategic objectives to internal team members to ensure projects are completed in alignment with strategy.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and creative reviews.
- Contribute to the development of brand-building strategies and strategic implementation of projects.
- Represent the Strategic Marketing and Communications Department in organizational projects and committees as needed.
- Other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Manager, Strategic Marketing.

Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related degree.
- Five years of professional marketing experience.
- In lieu of a degree, nine years of professional marketing experience.
- Experience in client and project management.
- Experience planning and implementing effective marketing plans and programs.
- Experience writing concise and compelling project and creative briefs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an innate attention to detail.
- Experience gaining consensus and driving deliverables with individuals at various levels within an organization.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships.
- Experience influencing creative team discussions.
- Demonstrated analytical and research skills.
- Ability to speak effectively in a public forum and to develop high-quality presentations.
- Experience with CRM strategy and execution, or an understanding of CRM platforms and data-driven marketing.
- Experience with project management software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at an intermediate skill level.
- Working knowledge of AI platforms (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Adobe, Gemini, and/or ChatGPT) for business applications.

- Ten or more years of marketing experience, including agency experience.
- Experience with integrated marketing campaigns that include traditional and modern media elements.
- Advanced copywriting skills.
- Experience in airport marketing or related aviation industries.
- Experience in hospitality, hotel, stadium, parking, and/or airline marketing.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Experience working for or with public sector entities or governmental agencies.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and a basic understanding of HTML.
- Experience in using Power BI, Forms, and SharePoint.
