Marketing Specialist - Industrial Automation
Job Description
We seek an experienced Marketing Communication Specialist to join the Automation and Electrification (AE) business unit in Hoffman Estates, IL. You will work closely with our Business Unit Product Management teams to drive awareness, interest, and demand while increasing distributor satisfaction, loyalty, and retention for specific product technologies.
- Be the Key Contributor to the marketing strategy development and ensure strategy implementation of external product communication plans for the assigned Business Unit technology.
- Drive top-of-funnel inbound marketing and ensure integration of appropriate content and messaging from central business units in Germany into the North American Region, while also harmonizing across all mediums of communications.
- Provide all Marketing support for the business unit trade fairs and events along with Product Management and Sales.
- Cook up technology-specific content, communication materials, and/or campaigns to meet brand guidelines.
- Select an integrated multichannel approach to marketing for both online and offline channels.
- Utilize an integrated multichannel approach to marketing for both online and offline channels.
- Select appropriate communication mix, content, and timing to deliver the right message to the right audience to maximize effectiveness.
- In collaboration with agency, select appropriate media, content, and timing to deliver the right message to the right audience to maximize total contacts and qualified leads, impressions, and other defined KPI.
- Ensure contacts generated are qualified and nurtured to further their journey to becoming sales qualified.
- Compile, maintain data, and report on success of campaigns and marketing activities for assigned technology topics.
- Identify, track and report on lead generation.
- Manage spend for defined budget and report on monthly basis to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other members of Marketing and Product Management to integrate consistent product content, promotions strategy, and branding into various platforms, media, with customization by distributor as needed.
- Ensure the timely and frequent update of website content for assigned topics.
- Continuously utilize market research and market intelligence to benchmark Bosch Rexroth against key competitor go-to-market positions, maintain in-depth knowledge of how to differentiate Bosch Rexroth’s technology within the market.
- Support distributor-specific projects with communication materials, communicate marcom plans that enhance distributor growth, maintain relevant content availability on extranet systems (myRexroth).
- Support the marketing communications manager and greater marketing department in the development and execution of cross-technology content and tactics as needed.
About the Role
The Marketing Communication Specialist will play a crucial role in driving awareness and demand for Bosch Rexroth’s product technologies through strategic marketing initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of technical products and the ability to effectively communicate these concepts to a variety of audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for assigned Business Unit technology.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Sales teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing plans.
- Manage and execute marketing campaigns for trade fairs and events.
- Create and maintain marketing collateral such as brochures, presentations, and digital assets.
- Analyze campaign performance and provide insights to improve future efforts.
- Work closely with the marketing communications manager and other marketing team members to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
- Support distributor-specific projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
- 3-5 years of work experience in technical B2B marketing, communications, or marketing support roles.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Demonstrated expertise with LinkedIn, social media platforms, and marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Mailchimp).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to create marketing copy for multiple media formats.
- Experience managing marketing campaigns, tracking KPIs, and analyzing campaign performance data.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong judgment and initiative in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Fundamental financial acumen to manage and track marketing budgets.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.

Pay
This position will have a salary range of $78,000 - $95,000 annually. In addition to the base rate, the position will have an annual bonus potential of 0% - 6% of annual salary based on company performance.
Schedule
The position is full-time and offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate travel needs.
