About the Role
Enterprise-wide role; develops and executes strategic internal communications that inform, engage, and connect colleagues across Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc. (TMH). Serves as a communications partner to internal departments, clinical services, leaders, and organizational stakeholders; translates complex information into clear, timely, relevant, and audience-focused communications. Supports recruitment marketing efforts through strategic messaging, colleague stories, digital content, campaigns, and communications that elevate TMH's reputation as a leading healthcare employer.
Responsibilities
- Plans, writes, edits, and coordinates content across internal channels, including SPARK, email, newsletters, digital signage, presentations, videos, leadership communications, town halls, and organizational events.
- Supports enterprise priorities, change initiatives, colleague engagement, culture, recognition, and operational communications.
- Collaborates with Marketing and Communications, Human Resources, Nursing Administration, Executive Leadership, and other departments to maintain message consistency and alignment with TMH's mission, vision, values, strategic priorities, and brand standards.
- Supports emergency and crisis communications.
- Analyzes communication performance and colleague feedback; recommends improvements.
- Demonstrates an understanding of diversity and upholds TMH's I CARE values (integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence).
- Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients.
Qualifications
- Required Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources (HR), journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
- Required Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in internal communications, corporate communications, public relations, marketing communications, journalism, content development, or a related field.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in relevant fields.
- Healthcare, hospital, or other complex, highly regulated organizational communications experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing communication plans, executive or leadership communications, change communications, and multi-channel internal campaigns.
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, storytelling, and presentation-development skills; familiarity with AP Style.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint or intranet platforms, email marketing tools, content management systems, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, digital signage, and communication analytics.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, discretion, sound judgment, and strong stakeholder service.
- Collaborative, adaptable, highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working with colleagues and leaders at all organizational levels.
