Marketing Project Manager
About the Role
The Marketing Project Manager is a member of Marketing’s Project Management Office (PMO) whose mission is to define how projects are executed leveraging tools and technology that provide frameworks for consistency and transparency. This role orchestrates development and socialization of projects by facilitating planning activities and providing end-to-end project management for strategic initiatives, omni-channel marketing campaigns, and business-critical initiatives. Projects vary in size and involve cross-functional teams from Strategy, Media, Creative, Agency & Studio, Product, IT, and other Marketing or Enterprise Center of Excellence groups.
Responsibilities
- Project Management Lifecycle (40%): Manages the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion, including aligning on scope, developing and maintaining project plans, defining meeting and communication cadence, and monitoring budgets and deliverables. Identifies risks early, mitigates roadblocks, and ensures smooth execution while maintaining quality control and adapting plans as needed.
- Collaboration & Team Accountability (25%): Facilitates communication across teams to ensure alignment on project goals and responsibilities. Leads meetings, tracks progress, and holds teams accountable for deadlines. Identifies risks, problem-solves proactively, and escalates when necessary. Drives teamwork and fosters a collaborative environment.
- Continuous Improvement & Change Management (20%): Identifies inefficiencies through retrospectives, lessons learned, and stakeholder feedback. Leads efforts to streamline workflows, develop new processes, and improve execution. Oversees discovery, proposal, testing, and implementation phases for process improvements. Maintains PMO documentation and manages change by ensuring teams are prepared and aligned.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Communication (15%): Develops dashboards, progress reports, and stakeholder updates to ensure transparency on project status. Tracks key metrics, shares insights, and ensures alignment on priorities and outcomes. Communicates effectively to keep leadership informed and teams engaged.
Requirements
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in project management or related roles.
- Experience with project management software tools such as Workfront, SmartSheet, Jira, or equivalent.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive collaboration.
Skills
- Project Management Expertise: Deep understanding of project management principles and methodologies, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring budgets and deliverables, and closing projects. Experience with risk management and stakeholder communication.
- Project Management Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using project management software tools and applying project methodologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional environments to drive buy-in and build collaboration among diverse teams.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about project requirements and independently research or acquire necessary details.

Schedule
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Working Conditions
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Most of the time is spent sitting with frequent opportunities to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
