About the Role
This position involves creating and managing entertainment content for niche products across print and electronic mediums. You will serve as a key representative for the organization at community events and provide comprehensive administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Research, compile, and/or write entertainment listings, soft feature items, and extended cutlines for print and electronic mediums.
- Photograph community events and update the layout of entertainment listings.
- Assist in developing niche product content by suggesting story ideas and keeping management informed about community events.
- Attend community briefings, events, and functions as an organizational representative.
- Provide a full range of administrative and clerical support, serving as the central point of contact for day-to-day operations.
- Apply knowledge of organizational functions and regulations to handle administrative tasks such as correspondence, personnel, accounting, purchasing, and equipment maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Tour of duty includes occasional evenings and weekends as dictated by the events schedule.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
Qualifications
Resumes must clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities for this position.
- Progressively responsible work experience equivalent to the position's requirements.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Experience with digital photography.
- Typing speed of 40 words per minute (wpm).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
- 1 year of commercial graphic design experience.
Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications and highly preferred criteria will be referred to management first. Others may be referred if no selection is made from the highly preferred list.
Area of Consideration
This job is open to candidates located in the local commuting area (within a 50-mile radius of Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, GA). Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included.

Pay
This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
