People Inc. is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Lifestyle team, contributing to the category strategy and revenue for our Travel vertical. The Sales Marketing Manager develops strategic pre-sale proposals and client-facing marketing materials that support revenue growth across the Vertical Team. This role partners closely with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders to create compelling advertiser solutions, translate insights into impactful storytelling, and support go-to-market opportunities across People Inc.’s portfolio of brands.
This hybrid role, based in NYC, requires a minimum of three days in the office each week and reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Marketing - Travel. Hybrid 3x a week- (New York City)
About The Team
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
Position’s Contributions
- Integrated proposal development (creative brainstorming, strategic writing, designing proposal, liaising with appropriate teams to gather all information) - 75%
- Presentation Development (category presentations, program sell-sheets, etc.) - 20%
- Fostering relationships with outside brand teams to bring opportunities to the travel vertical - 5%
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years relevant experience at a digital and/or print publisher, with a focus in pre-sales marketing; background in Travel category is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Certifications And Abilities
- Excellent creative writing and storytelling skills with an ability to execute visually impactful presentations (fluent in Keynote and Powerpoint).
- You’re an excellent communicator, who remains poised under pressure and can tailor messages for different audiences.
- You have an understanding of digital advertising landscape, products, and trends; understanding of print and/or programmatic marketplace is a plus.
- You are a true self-starter – provide proactive ideas, understand organizational goals, and move initiatives forward.
- You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
