About the role
The Marketing Manager supports the execution of regional and national marketing initiatives while developing strategic go-to-market plans to support tax & accounting and industry-specific initiatives. This role serves as a partner to our industries groups in New England on day-to-day projects, campaigns, and events. This role drives campaign planning discussions and oversees the project management and implementation of initiatives across industry and service lines.
Responsibilities
- Partner with regional practice leaders to build and execute a marketing and communications plan aligned to regional priorities and enterprise campaigns.
- Prioritize initiatives with local and industry leadership during annual planning and budgeting.
- Lead office team meetings with practitioners, putting their ideas into action with consistent follow-up.
- Host industry group meetings – assist with internal meeting planning, materials, content tracking, and event coordination.
- Support campaign and event activation to support industry and region growth goals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational and time management skills; know when to delegate to meet deadlines.
- Provide consistent updates to regional marketing leadership and practitioners on project status and deliverables.
- Host regular check-ins with practitioners to ensure they are meeting their marketing objectives; proactively send relevant content and opportunities.
- Approach all interactions with professionalism, patience, and approachability; build trusted internal client relationships.
- Lead integrated campaigns across email, web, social, and paid channels; ensure consistent messaging and brand standards.
- Develop campaign plans for the regional industry group that align to national and regional revenue goals.
- Execute digital account-based marketing campaigns; enabling more targeted communication, brand awareness, lead generation and conversion.
- Develop and distribute marketing content including publications, flysheets, and client alerts.
- Aid in proposal development, as needed.
- Manage internal communications and ensure brand consistency across channels.
- Follow professional standards of communication and be willing to have hard but productive conversations.
- Lead integrated campaigns across email, web, social, and paid channels; ensure consistent messaging and brand standards.
- Develop campaign plans for the regional industry group that align to national and regional revenue goals.
- Execute digital account-based marketing campaigns; enabling more targeted communication, brand awareness, lead generation and conversion.
- Develop and distribute marketing content including publications, flysheets, and client alerts.
- Events/Sponsorships/Webinar Support
- Lead the execution of conferences, tentpole events, and sponsorships. Partner with regional leaders to ensure events align with growth goals.
- Develop and manage event supplies & inventory (signage, pull up banners, nametags, etc.).
- Assist with local event sponsorships and onsite needs (registrations, logistics, booth set-up, calendar invites, etc.).
- Manage invite lists, RSVPs, and reporting regularly.
- Capture and report post-event feedback.
- Evaluate ROI of events and recommend participation or budget reallocation.
- Identify high-value sponsorships and speaking opportunities that elevate CBIZ’s reputation in target industries.
- Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track, measure, and communicate performance (pipeline, engagement, leads, wins); use insights to refine plans.
- Identify potential blockers, delays, and issues early, and propose solutions.
- Recommend process improvements and efficiencies to reduce workload and streamline execution.
- Keep record of positive changes and measurable impact made through marketing initiatives.
- Dedicate time to learning about different CBIZ service lines.
- Be familiar with Asana, Salesforce, Canva, Pardot, Smartsheet, and other CBIZ marketing platforms; proactively seek additional training as needed.
- Stay on top of industry and client news to proactively bring ideas and opportunities to practitioners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of marketing experience, preferably in professional services (accounting, law, consulting).
- Proven ability to manage and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze data, draw insights, and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Experience collaborating across functions and managing stakeholder relationships.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a passion for growth and innovation.
- Proficiency with CRM, marketing automation, and project management tools.
- Ability to adapt to change, manage competing priorities, and take initiative.
- Experience developing messaging and positioning within marketing communications.
- Ability to think creatively and visualize final marketing deliverables.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Pardot or HubSpot preferred.
- Experience with project management platforms such as Asana or Workfront preferred.
- Design experience and familiarity with Canva or other design software a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or GED).
- Must have and preserve required licenses.
- Proficient use of applicable technology.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
- Ability to travel as required by business.
