Marketing Leader (Onsite)
The Role
Convert our market position into qualified pipeline to grow the business with an eye to value creation for the enterprise. This is a demand generation seat, not a brand seat. You will build, coach, and hold your team to accountable for marketing's contribution to revenue. It is also an AI-first seat: an AI-powered marketing system will be live before you arrive, and your job is to make it faster every quarter.
The Marketing Engine
A working demand system, live on day one, including: a segmented ICP with defined target accounts, a working funnel, hard unit economics guardrails governing every channel investment, a standing experimentation cadence, AI embedded across research, content, campaign operations, and reporting, and a full measurement stack culminating in board-level reporting you will own.
Key Responsibilities
- The number. Clear pipeline contribution targets tied directly to revenue growth goals. Hit them.
- The engine. Operate it end to end and make it compound: more qualified pipeline per dollar, quarter over quarter, and increase AI leverage along the way.
- Test-and-learn rigor. An always-on experiment program by channel and segment. Promote winners, demote losers, and use AI to run more experiments faster than a traditionally staffed team could.
- Every channel. Events and conferences, marketing support for the Sales-owned partner channel, customer advocacy, the full digital stack, and anything emerging: AI/LLM search visibility, influencers, product placement, endorsements. No channel is off limits if it passes the experiment engine.
- The install base. Turn happy customers into references, referrals, and reviews, and measure advocacy as a first-class pipeline channel.
- Product marketing at speed. Every meaningful release gets positioning, AI-produced launch materials, current customer promotion, and a prospect demand motion, without a long lag.
- Named Account Offense. Build and run a real ABM motion to our known market: tier and prioritize target accounts, orchestrate multi-threaded plays with Sales, and measure penetration and progression.
- Attribution without arguments. Measurement is instrumented in our AI system, so credit for pipeline is substantiated by data, not negotiated in meetings.
- Board-ready reporting. A monthly operating review and a weekly rhythm with the CEO, with clear priorities and quantified goals.
- MIP stewardship. The Management Incentive Plan is not just something you receive; it is something you steward. Know how enterprise value gets built here, and teach and reinforce that thinking across our entire team.
What Success Looks Like
Specific targets are set with the CEO at hire and reviewed in the monthly operating review. You will be measured on:
- Pipeline. Marketing-sourced pipeline against plan, and its contribution to revenue growth.
- Unit economics. You hold the line on them and improve them, with qualified pipeline per dollar rising over time.
- Named accounts. Penetration and progression across target accounts.
- Advocacy. Referenceable customers and a repeatable referral and review motion.
- Speed to market. Positioning and a demand motion live shortly after every meaningful release.
- Team. Fully staffed, AI-fluent, and operating to documented standards.
Qualifications
- Proven ownership. You have personally owned a pipeline target and delivered it, or are demonstrably ready to. Results matter more than tenure.
- AI-first operator. You have built and run AI-assisted marketing workflows, apply rigorous quality control to them, and can develop a team to work the same way. Proficiency with AI tools is a baseline expectation.
- Analytical rigor. You are quantitative, process-driven, and experiment-led, building marketing motions that are repeatable and scalable, with fluency in unit economics: CAC, LTV, CPL, and payback inform every channel decision.
- Team leadership. You set clear expectations, manage performance, and develop talent, including coaching people to work effectively alongside AI. Prior people management experience is preferred.
- Industry background. SaaS or vertical SaaS experience is a plus, not a requirement. Open to candidates from any industry who can operate the engine and process this role demands. High-potential, AI-forward marketers earlier in their careers are encouraged to apply.
