Principal Responsibilities And Duties
- Budget tracking.
- Add additional resources to projects to support the Head of Sales.
- Data entry (e.g., Winter Warm Up redemptions).
- Organise and maintain promo, events, and communications calendar.
- P/O process.
- Manage print and merch suppliers.
- Support in market sizing/business case development.
Strategy, Planning & Budgeting
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Head of Sales to develop, manage, and oversee the delivery of the marketing plan and budget.
- Contribute to the creation of strategic direction for all marketing and communications activity, ensuring communication is effective for the right audiences.
- Deliver effective marketing and communications strategies that engage stakeholders with the company’s products and services (including loyalty schemes).
- Create, execute, and manage marketing strategies and campaigns that support sales initiatives and lead to an increase in sales.
- Contribute to the optimisation of marketing strategies (continuous improvement mindset).
Communications & Brand Management
- Work with the Head of Sales to shape the voice, look, and feel of our brand in the market through leading delivery of marketing and communications.
- Develop marketing content development and brief creative partners in graphic design and photography.
- Collate product information for: Sales Support, Website/Digital, Campaigns.
- Contribute to Regional and Global communications and Connect intranet materials/articles.
- Ensure technical and promotional literature is accurate, up to date, and relevant, working closely with the R&D and Operations teams for product detail accuracy.
- Prepare internal bi-monthly newsletter “Watts Up,” adjusting format and content for improved audience engagement.
Digital, Web & Reporting
- Manage the company’s digital and social media presence and communication.
- Content creation for social media.
- Website review, updates, and maintenance.
- Complete monthly Marcom report and contribute to other regional reporting requirements.
- Attend and present at regional or global review meetings as required.
- Report back on effectiveness of marketing activities and social media activity undertaken, using data and engagement stats to support.
- Campaign coordination, including: Copy, Scheduling, Database management, Planning and executing promotional activities, Coordination and distribution of merch, Coordination and execution of advertising and artwork for: NZ Plumber, Merchant diaries and trade mailers, Monitoring campaign performance, Merchandising planning, Managing brochures and collateral.
Events & Tradeshows
- Coordinate Apex presence at external events, including: Golf Days, Fishing Competitions, Tradeshows, Mico CPD Roadshow, Young Plumber of the Year.
- Coordinate internal Sales & Marketing events, including: Voice of Customer sessions, Fishing Trips/Entertainment/Hospitality, Training/Factory Tours.
- Support the sales team with tradeshows and industry events.
- Execute trade show stands.
- Attend events and trade shows and take photographs for published articles, internal newsletters or reporting and social media.
Product, Packaging & NPD
- Prepare and maintain product data as required by merchants.
- GS1 National Product Catalogue maintenance.
- Develop, manage, and execute the launch of new products.
- Packaging development.
- Source or carry out market research to gain insight into industry trends and monitor brand reputation and potential risks.
Health and Safety
- Comply with all Apex Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Actively contribute to Health and Safety initiatives and the continuous improvement of all aspects of Health and Safety.
- Report incidents, near misses, and safety opportunities in a timely manner and in contribution to company targets.
- Ensure your actions follow safe work practices to maintain a safe environment for yourself and everyone on site.
Regulatory and Compliance
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, relevant legislation and regulations that impact or relate to Apex.
- Keep sensitive customer and/or product information confidential in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020, other applicable legislation, and Apex/Watts policies.
