About the Role

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for marketing, social media, online e-marketing, public relations, and promotions for venues, radio promotions, clubs, theaters, festivals, shows, and one-offs. This role develops promotional initiatives with artists and the community to enhance brand image and may coordinate the work of interns and street teams for show promotions.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains ad plans for AEG Presents shows, tours, and festivals.
• Assists in coordination of media buying and builds Google campaigns.
• Creates work orders for radio, television, and manages flyer distributions.
• Evaluates and revises marketing strategies to increase ticketing revenue and event exposure.
• Creates, previews, and reviews press releases as needed; coordinates distribution of press requests with publicists.
• Serves as a public relations liaison; adds new shows, schedules releases, and updates as needed.
• Monitors marketing trends regionally and with artists, implementing new strategies based on current trends.
• Analyzes fan base to target specific demographics for show, tour, and festival promotions.
• Coordinates and advances day-of-show activities, including radio setups, remote broadcasts, and escorting media photographers/news crews.
• Creates, proofreads, and distributes weekly newsletters.
• Orders and deploys e-cards and e-blasts using the AXS Advantage tool; ensures venue information and links are accurate.
• Develops and manages social media accounts; researches new promotional activities and prizes for online giveaways.
• Collaborates with artists to promote shows on their social media accounts; designs posting schedules aligned with event deadlines.
• Monitors budget and accounting for marketing efforts; provides reports on marketing costs.
• Maintains relationships with partners, co-promoters, and media; develops community initiatives and artist promotions.
• May participate in hiring and training interns and street teams.
• May handle expense reports, office calendar updates, supply ordering, and general office administration.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of related work experience.
• Experience calendaring events.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Photoshop.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong PR skills, social media savvy, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Creative thinker with problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of the music industry preferred.

Pay

$17.97 - $20.67 per hour.
