Solicitation
Solicit venue sponsorships, group sales, and special event opportunities.
Database Management
- Create and distribute “Return on Investment Report” for all venue sponsors.
- Provide weekly updates to Sales and Marketing Manager and General Manager.
- Maintain database and tracking system of current and potential sponsors.
- To outline: Client Name, Sponsor Deliverables, Ending Terms, Renewal or deadline, Payments, Invoice dates, etc.
- Ensure all executed copies of contracts are placed on the shared drive and hard copy retained in master file.
Event Coordination
- Auxiliary tasks related to the annual River Center Sponsored Event.
- Secure booths, sponsors, and restaurants – if applicable.
- Auxiliary tasks related to coordinating the annual River Center Sponsored Event.
- Auxiliary tasks related to coordinating the annual River Center Sponsored Event.
- Auxiliary tasks related to coordinating the annual River Center Sponsored Event.
Group Sales
- Cold call groups & local businesses to offer group rates and grow group sales database.
- Manage School/Daycare database.
- Mail out flyers to database.
- Take orders over the phone.
- Cold call schools and daycares to offer group rates and grow group sales database.
Marketing Support
- Auxiliary tasks related to developing Marketing Plans, which include grassroots initiatives, social media, and eblasts.
- Auxiliary tasks related to coordinating confirmed event announce, presale and onsale schedule by localizing artwork as needed, scheduling content for social media and eblasts, etc.
- Auxiliary tasks related to implementing and maintaining outreach to major organizations within the community to grow databases.
- Auxiliary tasks related to curating unique and captivating content for monthly social media calendar.
Skills
- Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision.
- Experience in cold calls, prospecting, maintaining client relations and salesmanship.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with employees and others encountered through the course of employment.
- Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results in a fast-paced environment.
- Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
- Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
- Operate standard office equipment and personal computer(s) using MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
Physical Requirements
- Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
- Physical requirements include feel and reach with hands and arms, walking, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs., and standing for extended periods of time.
