About the role

Marketing Coordinators are detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive team members responsible for executing marketing initiatives across client accounts. This role combines content creation, project management, and client-facing communication to support the delivery of strategic, high-quality marketing outcomes for higher education clients.

Core Responsibilities

  • SEO Research & Content Planning
    • Supports SEO and content strategy work by helping gather, organize, and apply search insights that inform client content recommendations.
    • Conduct basic keyword research using approved SEO and AIO tools and templates.
    • Identify relevant search terms tied to client programs, audiences, and enrollment goals.
    • Support competitor and near-set competitor content reviews.
    • Organize keyword opportunities by theme, funnel stage, program area, or user intent.
    • Aid in translating SEO research into content topics, blog ideas, landing page recommendations, FAQ concepts, and metadata updates.
    • Maintain awareness of higher education search trends and common prospective student questions.
  • Content Development
    • Create SEO-aligned content briefs based on client goals and keyword research.
    • Write, edit, and proofread content, such as blogs, gated content, email campaigns, and social media posts.
    • Conduct interviews with students, faculty, and alumni to generate compelling testimonials and stories.
    • Write engaging and professional social media captions for organic and paid posts.
    • Apply voice and tone guidelines for multiple brands.
  • On-Page SEO / AIO Support
    • Support the optimization of client web content to improve visibility, clarity, accessibility, and alignment with user intent.
    • Draft or update page titles, meta descriptions, headers, image alt text, and internal linking recommendations.
    • Review existing web pages for SEO basics, including keyword alignment, content gaps, readability, and duplicate or outdated content.
    • Support content refresh projects by identifying opportunities to improve relevance, structure, and search performance.
    • Apply Eduvantis SEO best practices and QA checklists before recommendations are shared internally or with clients.
    • Cook with content and SEO team members to ensure SEO recommendations align with broader marketing strategy.
  • Project Management
    • Provide organized, detail-oriented support to keep content and SEO work moving across accounts.
    • Enter tasks into project management software and track progress against deadlines.
    • Monitor timelines and follow up with team members to ensure on-time delivery.
    • Keep internal and client-facing calendars accurate and up to date.
    • Cook with internal prep meetings and client meetings for assigned projects.
  • Client Engagement & Follow-Up
    • Attend client calls for assigned accounts, actively listen, and document action items.
    • Enter follow-ups into the project management system and track them to completion.
    • Review deliverables for accuracy and professionalism before client delivery.
    • Support Activities
      • Contribute to the preparation of proposals, renewals, and scope changes.
      • Conduct competitive research using digital tools.
      • Participate in team-wide initiatives, including the Annual Retreat, JEDI Committee, AI Task Force, or Social Committee.

Education, Skills, Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or digital marketing strategy.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and voice across audiences.
  • Understanding of or desire to learn SEO and AIO best practices.
  • Familiarity with content performance metrics and analytics tools.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to present with confidence and clarity.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across cross-functional teams.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Higher education experience preferred.
