Centreville Bank Stadium is a state-of-the-art, 100 percent electric, soccer-specific stadium on the banks of the Seekonk River. Named Best New Venue of 2025 by SportsTravel Magazine, it is the flagship destination for sports and entertainment in the Ocean State. The multi-use venue hosts concerts, sporting events, corporate outings, and cultural festivals year-round.

About the role

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, growth, and optimization of RIFC and Centreville Bank Stadium digital communications platforms, including the official websites, email campaigns, SMS/MMS marketing, and mobile apps. This position ensures all content is engaging, on-brand, and tailored to each platform to maximize fan engagement and drive ticket sales. The Marketing Coordinator will also support gameday production, event execution, administrative management, and project initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Digital Media Strategy and Optimization
    • Oversee the management and growth of RIFC and Centreville Bank Stadium’s website, email platform, SMS/MMS marketing platform, and mobile app(s), ensuring content is optimized for each platform.
    • Utilize analytics tools to monitor digital media performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports with actionable insights.
    • Identify, interpret, and implement digital media trends and best practices to enhance RIFC’s digital presence and fan engagement.
    • Collaborate with Graphic Design and Content Production teams to create engaging and innovative email, website, and SMS content that elevates the brand.
  • Email Marketing
    • Manage, grow, and optimize RIFC and Centreville Bank Stadium’s email platform, including developing segmentation strategies to effectively target different audience segments.
    • Plan and execute email campaigns to promote ticket sales, events, and stadium and team news.
    • Publish monthly e-newsletters and recommend content improvements based on analytics and fan feedback.
    • Collaborate with all departments to conduct, analyze, and optimize surveys, including post-event Fan Engagement surveys.
  • Website Management
    • Manage and update the official RIFC and Centreville Bank Stadium websites with relevant content, including news, player profiles, event schedules, ticket offerings, and club and stadium information.
    • Ensure each website’s design, layout, and user experience (UX) are optimized, particularly in relation to the mobile experience.
  • SMS/MMS Marketing Platform
    • Manage, grow, and optimize SMS/MMS communication through the club’s texting platform - RIFC Pulse.
    • Plan and execute texting campaigns to drive ticket and merchandise sales, and inform fans about upcoming events and stadium and club news.
  • Mobile App Management
    • Manage, update, and optimize the RIFC mobile app to enhance user engagement and ensure the app remains a valuable resource for fans.
    • Implement app features that drive fan interaction, ticket sales, and in-app engagement.
  • Critical Stadium Event Support

    Provide support for events at both Centreville Bank Stadium and Rhode Island FC, operating as a unified sports and entertainment entity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in digital media management, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry.
  • Proficiency in digital media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Strong understanding of website management (CMS), email marketing platforms, SMS/MMS marketing platforms, and mobile app management.
  • Experience with HubSpot, WordPress, and Trello or similar software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

  • Role requires availability to work all RIFC home and away games, marketing events, and select stadium events.
  • Frequent evening, weekend, and holiday work required based on organizational and event schedules.
  • Position is based in Rhode Island with regular in-person presence at the team office, stadium, and external events.
