About the Role

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Proposal Coordinator for our Dallas, Fort Worth, El Paso, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, or Tulsa office(s). As part of our Proposal Development team, the Proposal Coordinator will guide and facilitate a collaborative process to develop high-quality, competitive proposals for engineering and environmental projects. Working closely with colleagues across disciplines, this position brings together diverse skills and perspectives to ensure each proposal benefits from the strengths of the entire team.

Founded in 1951 by the son of Allen Hazen (developer of the Hazen-Williams equation), we are an employee-owned company with a singular focus on "all things water." Our work includes planning, design, and oversight of construction of environmental infrastructure for water, wastewater, and stormwater management. We currently have over 2,500 employees in 90+ offices throughout the United States, Latin America, Canada, and the UK. Our approach to work schedule flexibility allows for office-based staff to periodically work remotely up to two days per week. Your schedule should coincide with and will be coordinated with your project teams and may be adjusted as warranted to meet project or personal needs.

Responsibilities

  • Work with pursuit teams and manage technical staff to deliver high-quality proposals to clients and win competitive project opportunities.
  • Prepare concise, compelling, and compliant narratives that guide proposal content.
  • Participate in strategy meetings, develop storyboards and layouts, create and track action items, and monitor task completion.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of related experience.
  • Two or more years of InDesign experience.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • An eye for layout of documents.
  • Strong personal accountability.
  • Collaborative approach in team environments.
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Self-starter.
  • Detail and task-oriented.
  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Documented ability to translate complex technical concepts into digestible formats for various audiences.
  • Documented ability to share creative ideas for communicating complex information to a range of audiences using clear text and eye-catching layouts.

Pay

Starting pay range for this position depends on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
