About the role

Community Health Choice, Inc. (Community) is a non‑profit Managed Care Organization (MCO) licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance. Through its network of more than 10,000 providers and 94 hospitals, Community serves over 400,000 members across Medicaid STAR, CHIP (including CHIP Perinatal), Health Insurance Marketplace plans, and a Medicare Advantage Dual Special Needs Plan (HMO D‑SNP) that combines Medicare Parts A, B, and D with Medicaid benefits plus dental, vision, transportation, and more. Community is URAC‑accredited, offers care management programs for asthma, diabetes, and high‑risk pregnancy, and is an affiliate of the Harris Health System while remaining financially self‑sufficient.

The Marketing Coordinator supports the planning, development, production, and distribution of marketing and communications materials. This entry‑level role helps the Marketing & Communications team execute campaigns and day‑to‑day communications across member, provider, digital, print, community, and internal channels while maintaining brand consistency, accuracy, and timeliness. The position is ideal for a strong writer who can also coordinate projects, manage details, and contribute to a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment. Working closely with marketing leaders, designers, subject matter experts, compliance, operations, community engagement, and external vendors, the Marketing Coordinator assists with content calendars, campaign deliverables, collateral updates, website and social content, email communications, presentations, and event or outreach support. A key part of the role is copywriting and editing clear, audience‑appropriate messaging that reflects the organization’s voice and supports business goals. This includes drafting, proofreading, and revising content for flyers, brochures, web pages, emails, newsletters, social media posts, talking points, presentations, and other communications materials. The Marketing Coordinator must demonstrate sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and an understanding that communications may require review for regulatory, legal, brand, accessibility, and health literacy standards. The individual helps route materials through internal review processes, incorporate edits accurately, maintain version control, and confirm final materials are ready for release or production. The successful candidate is organized, adaptable, and service‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and translate complex healthcare information into clear, culturally responsive, and easy‑to‑understand content. This role also supports basic reporting by tracking deliverables, gathering campaign metrics, and helping the team evaluate engagement and continuous improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Content development and copywriting: Draft, edit, proofread, and adapt content for member, provider, digital, print, social media, email, presentation, and internal communications materials; ensure messaging is clear, on‑brand, audience‑appropriate, and written in plain language.
  • Campaign and project coordination: Support campaign planning and execution; maintain production schedules and content calendars; coordinate deliverables, routing, approvals, and final distribution; organize assets and maintain version control across projects.
  • Stakeholder and vendor collaboration: Partner with internal departments, subject matter experts, community teams, and external vendors such as printers, mail houses, freelancers, or agencies to gather inputs, reconcile edits, and meet deadlines.
  • Regulatory, quality, and brand review support: Prepare materials for compliance, legal, regulatory, accessibility, and brand review; incorporate feedback accurately; help verify that final materials are complete, consistent, and ready for publication or release.
  • Digital content and reporting support: Assist with website updates, email deployments, social posting, file management, and basic campaign reporting; track metrics, compile results, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Administrative and team support: Assist with presentations, meeting materials, event logistics, inventory of collateral, and other related marketing and communications duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Work experience: 6 months to 2 years of marketing experience with successful outcomes required; 2+ years of progressive marketing experience preferred. Experience working in an advertising agency is preferred.
  • Software proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite; project management software experience (Copilot M365, ServiceNow, Wrike).
  • Other: Experience working with multicultural projects and campaigns.
