ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures.
  • Regularly attends work and is punctual.
  • Solves problems or handles emergencies according to established policies and procedures, or refers to the supervisor when necessary.
  • Resolves any concerns regarding company-wide marketing needs and informs the Marketing Director.
  • Acts diplomatically, courteously, and positively when dealing with difficult guests, vendors, and employees.
  • Enthusiastically makes announcements and conducts promotional drawings.
  • Maintains and updates marketing signage, including TVs and posters, proofreads all marketing materials, and uses Synkros Gaming Management System to update customer information.
  • Communicates accurate information about the casino and performs related administrative support duties.
  • Promotes a positive image and goodwill of the company in all marketing activities.
  • Provides guests, vendors, and employees with assistance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
  • Performs a variety of administrative support duties, including customer service, secretarial, scheduling, word processing, data entry, statistical, financial analysis, creating spreadsheets, report writing, recordkeeping, copying, faxing, delivering and distributing mail, and other general office support activities.
  • Interacts with numerous customers during work shifts, becoming familiar with customers and developing positive relationships.
  • Promotes all gaming activities and is knowledgeable about slot machine payouts, operations, and club membership. Signs customers up for Players Club cards.
  • Maintains alertness for performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of marketing operations at all times. Takes appropriate action based on observations, as directed or as established. Informs the Marketing Director of any concerns.
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • On-site in Cripple Creek, Colorado.
  • Demonstrated experience within a marketing environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience responding to a high volume of telephone calls and developing and maintaining positive relations with applicants, guests, vendors, and employees.
  • Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
  • Demonstrated experience with graphics, spreadsheets, and analysis programs.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent in education and experience.
  • One (1) or more years of customer service or hospitality experience.
  • One (1) or more years of recent and related successful experience marketing casino games is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Strong verbal communication skills, including experience handling difficult customer relations.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency on a variety of computer programs.
  • Demonstrated experience using a multi-line telephone system is desired.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Essential duties involve working with large numbers of people while primarily in an inside environment, which is frequently loud or contains high noise levels.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • $20.00- $23.00 per hour based on experience.
  • Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
