Marketing Coordinator
Job Summary
Responsible for identifying potential customers, completing all required forms to receive bid solicitations and Requests for Quotes/Proposals, develop marketing and advertising strategies, create company promotional materials, coordinate and attend conferences and trade shows. This position is also responsible for maintaining company specific information within various supplier management databases and commerce portals as required by customers and finally, to act as company liaison for public relations and customer and community events.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Identify potential customers by conducting web searches and verbal inquiries in order to obtain information related to Municipal and Investor Owned Electric Utilities, Electric Cooperatives, and Engineering Firms throughout the United States.
- Contact potential customers and correspond with agencies’ management and/or purchasing department through verbal or written communication in order to inquire about specific contractor qualification requirements, upcoming projects up for bid, RFQ’s and RFP’s.
- Correspond with executive staff gathering extensive information related to company’s financial, safety, and performance data in order to create eloquent, detailed responses to customers’ Contractor Qualification Applications, PQQ’s, and RFI’s.
- Create, design, and update promotional and marketing tools which provide specific company information to current and prospective customers.
- Record all customer specific marketing activity in CRM database.
- Correspond with customers and external agencies in order to coordinate sponsorship and participation in customer and community events.
- Serve on various planning committees for community events.
- Cookordinate all employee participation and monetary donations for internal and external charitable gifts.
- Use Adobe Photoshop and other graphic design and image editing software in order to design and create print ads for various local publications.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field is preferred.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Direct marketing, marketing research, and reporting experience.
- Experience in project management.
- Understanding of the utility industry and operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
