About the RoleChelsea Piers Connecticut is seeking a creative, energetic, and highly collaborative Marketing Coordinator to support marketing across our entire complex, including Sports, Fitness, Events, CP Kids Early Learning Center, and complex-wide initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organized and proactive with a love of storytelling and a deep understanding of social media. The Marketing Coordinator will create engaging content, support marketing campaigns and events, and work closely with teams throughout Chelsea Piers to promote our programs, experiences, and community. We are looking for someone who is comfortable incorporating AI into the creative process, including using tools such as Claude to develop and refine copy, brainstorm campaigns, support design and visual concepts, and increase efficiency while maintaining a strong brand voice and creative point of view. Experience with Monday.com and Claude is preferred. Schedule: Full-time, in-person at Chelsea Piers CT. Some weekends and evenings required depending on business needs.Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience Primary ResponsibilitiesContent & Social MediaDevelop and create engaging social media content showcasing Sports, Fitness, Events, CP Kids, and the broader Chelsea Piers experience.Help manage the social media content calendar and maintain consistent, timely, and brand-aligned content across platforms.Identify compelling stories, programs, people, and moments throughout the complex and turn them into creative, audience-focused digital content.Create short-form video, photography, written content, graphics, and other social-first assets using smartphones, content creation platforms, and AI-enabled creative tools.Use tools such as Claude to brainstorm concepts, develop and refine copy, support visual ideation, repurpose content, and improve efficiency while maintaining Chelsea Piers’ brand voice and standards.Stay current on social media trends, emerging platforms, and evolving creative and AI tools, identifying opportunities to incorporate them thoughtfully into the Chelsea Piers brand.Monitor social media performance and engagement data and use insights to help shape future content and campaigns. Marketing & Campaign ExecutionPartner with the Director of Marketing to develop and execute campaigns supporting awareness, engagement, enrollment, membership, retention, and revenue.Collaborate with leaders across all venues to understand business priorities, upcoming programs, promotions, and marketing needs.Support email, website, digital, print, signage, collateral, and promotional initiatives, including drafting and adapting copy and creative assets for different channels.Leverage AI and other marketing tools to streamline workflows, generate ideas, strengthen copy and creative concepts, and support campaign execution.Coordinate projects from concept through execution, ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and deadlines are met.Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. Events & Member EngagementHelp plan, promote, and execute member, community, and promotional events.Attend events and activations to support execution, engage with members and guests, and capture real-time content.Maintain an active presence throughout the complex and build strong relationships with employees, members, families, coaches, instructors, and guests.Identify opportunities for member stories, employee features, program spotlights, testimonials, and other community-focused content. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.2+ years of relevant marketing, social media, content creation, or event experience preferred.Strong understanding of social media platforms, content trends, and digital storytelling best practices.Creative, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with members, guests, and employees.Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.Collaborative, team-oriented, and willing to jump in where needed.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Photography, videography, graphic design, or video editing skills are a plus.Comfort using modern marketing and productivity tools, including AI platforms such as Claude, project management tools such as Monday.com, and digital content creation platforms. Curiosity and willingness to learn and adopt new tools is essential.Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.A portfolio or work samples demonstrating relevant creative, social media, digital marketing, design, or content experience is required with application materials. Samples may include professional, freelance, internship, or academic work, depending on the candidate’s level of experience.
