Marketing Coordinator
Principal Job Activities
- Provide prompt and efficient executive-level administrative support for the Marketing department.
- Prepare monthly social media performance reports for assigned properties.
- Direct management and execution of the annual Property Management workshop.
- Maintain and update marketing manuals, templates, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Aid in the planning and coordination of trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including drafting and distribution of correspondence, expense reports, managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating team communications.
- Manage the corporate marketing budget by submitting and coding invoices, tracking expenses, and updating the monthly budget tracker.
- Support social media coordination and content execution for properties without on-site marketing support.
- Aid in the creation and maintenance of the corporate website, ensuring accuracy and timely content updates.
- Support and act as a liaison for creative and design needs, managing project requests, ensuring brand consistency, and providing light design support as relevant.
- Offer marketing support to properties without on-site teams, including generating traffic reports, updating websites, and executing campaigns or initiatives as needed.
- Track and manage corporate memberships, dues, and subscriptions.
- Maintain organized records of marketing assets, contracts, and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience, preferably in marketing, event planning, project coordination, retail, or real estate.
- Self-starter; intrinsically motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
- Must be able to adapt solutions to new situations requiring reasoning based on experience or interpretation.
- Strong communicator, both verbal and written.
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the internet.
- Familiarity with basic design tools (i.e., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar) and ability to execute minor design edits using templates, etc.
- Ability to manage and communicate creative project needs effectively, with a solid understanding of design principles and branding.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to take direction and work independently or with others.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to formulate strategies and frame solutions to complex issues.
- Team-oriented.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized - comfortable participating in several different projects at a time along with day-to-day activities.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to sit.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and expansive reading.
About the Role
This position plays a central role in keeping marketing operations organized, on track, and moving forward. The Marketing Coordinator supports the day-to-day functions of the Marketing team and collaborates with property teams, other corporate departments, and external agencies to assist the Marketing Leadership team in supporting marketing efforts to help drive retailer sales and property NOI for our retail real estate portfolio.
