Vedder's Chicago office is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Marketing & Client Development Coordinator to support a wide range of marketing and business development activities across all practice groups. This role works closely with the Marketing & Client Development team and the broader marketing department, balancing independent initiative with collaborative teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft and produce marketing proposals and RFP responses using a mix of the proposal repository and new content development, including final document preparation and follow-up.
- Edit, maintain, and update practice-specific pages of the firm website, marketing collateral, and attorney bios; draft, review, and contribute to key messaging and content for brochures and other materials.
- Maintain current and accurate case lists, descriptions, case studies, and client lists for use in pitches, proposals, RFPs, and league table rankings.
- Provide research support for various initiatives using research subscriptions and databases; prepare submissions to legal directories such as Chambers and Legal 500.
- Draft internal and external communications and assist with posting on the firm’s website and social media channels.
- Utilize firm resources to complete administrative tasks.
- Support the events team with seminars and other event-related activities, including materials preparation, setup, and onsite support.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of marketing, business development, or proposal experience, preferably in a professional services company or law firm; legal marketing experience is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of marketing department objectives and the ability to complete moderately complex assignments independently.
- Strong prioritization skills to manage day-to-day tasks based on incoming requests and firm objectives, with the ability to anticipate issues and opportunities.
- Ability to use data, experience, and judgment to formulate realistic and sound points of view and communicate them effectively to team members and attorneys.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear and effective oral and written communication skills for interactions at all levels within the firm and externally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; working knowledge of WordPress, InTapp, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and Thomson Reuters Monitor Suite is a plus.
Pay
$60,000/yr. to $70,000/yr.
