About the role
KWS Seeds USA is seeking a permanent full-time Marketing Brand Specialist to join their team in Bloomington, MN. This position will support the Marketing Director and contribute to specific sales initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Director of Marketing to create and manage marketing plans.
- Ensure communications meet brand standards and reinforce brand positions.
- Project manage the development of marketing materials including literature, advertising, product guides, variety brochures, and marketing communications.
- Work with external agencies and contractors to deliver materials on time and on budget.
- Manage the development of branded regional content with regional sales teams.
- Collaborate with Marketing Communications/Content Specialist to develop content for websites, social media, PR, programs, and promotions, and designated events, meetings, and ASGA events.
- Manage budgetary expenditures, work within approved guidelines, and report budget status as required.
- Plan and coordinate all corporate sign requirements, including field, promotional, and building signage.
- Assist in developing images for internal building use.
- Manage and coordinate promotional products programs with suppliers, ensuring item-to-customer/market relevance.
- Collaborate with production operations team to develop and modify seed packaging.
- Distribute new artwork and files as necessary to support packaging requirements.
- Document best practices for all marketing channels.
- Continuously improve internal processes to maximize throughput and minimize development time.
- Attend specific industry meetings and events.
- Meet attendance requirements.
- Prepare reports as requested by Director of Marketing or VP of Sales.
- Participate in special projects as requested.
- Attend meetings in regions to present marketing programs, research, and lead photo shoots.
- Build and maintain relationships with key strategic partners to better develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate strategic communications designed to meet business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications emphasis.
- 5 years prior experience working in a marketing/sales department; or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient project management skills to manage several projects at one time and provide direction to external agencies and vendors.
- Skilled in using computer hardware and software including Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft PowerPoint, SharePoint, Sales Force Marketing Cloud, and web-based content management systems.
- Experience with HTML coding, and additional applications within Microsoft Office 365, a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of file assembly and preparation for print and digital channels.
- Team player committed to cross-functional team projects and success; responsiveness and accountability are strongly desired.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify alternative solutions and approaches.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft PowerPoint, SharePoint, Sales Force Marketing Cloud, and web-based content management systems.
