Marketing & Brand Coordinator

CROSS Conference · Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Area · 3 days ago
On-siteMarketing$50k–$65k/yrFull-time
Full-time · Raleigh/Durham, NC (in person) · Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM CROSS is a conference for 18-25 year olds that clarifies the gospel, centralizes the local church, and encourages everyone to play their role in the Great Commission. Role Description The Marketing & Brand Coordinator helps carry out the year-round marketing of CROSS and supports the stewardship of the CROSS brand. Approximately half of the role is marketing - email, advertising support, mailers, the ambassador program, and the systems and lists underneath it. The remainder combines brand and creative coordination with the operational work required to prepare for and host the conference. This is an early-career role designed for someone with the right character, temperament, and capacity to grow. We are not expecting a new graduate to arrive having mastered every platform or production skill. We are looking for someone who learns quickly, solves problems thoughtfully, asks good questions, receives feedback well, follows through, and finds satisfaction in making the work around them better. The Coordinator will work closely with and receive regular direction from their manager. Marketing strategy, major creative direction, and all creative approvals will initially remain with their manager. As the Coordinator gains skill, context, and trust, they will receive increasing ownership. This role requires meaningful investment in training and planning. We're looking for someone ready to make a long-term commitment to the ministry of CROSS — at least three years. The conference takes place the first week of January. It's a joyful week of serving, but it involves long days and flexibility to help wherever needed — the team is typically on-site by December 28, so the work can intrude on Christmas and New Year's. Primary Responsibilities: Marketing & Communications (Approximately 50% of time)Coordinate and execute the year-round marketing that helps churches and 18-25 year olds discover CROSS. Build and schedule email campaigns under their manager's guidance.Support Meta advertising campaigns by organizing assets, checking links and details, monitoring delivery, and gathering results.Help coordinate the CROSS Ambassador Program and communicate reliably with participants.Coordinate promotional mailers and church marketing initiatives.Maintain the marketing calendar, update timelines, track dependencies, and follow up on handoffs.Maintain marketing databases and contact lists, learning how accurate segmentation supports better communication.Gather campaign results and prepare clear, accurate reports for review.Publish conference talks to podcast platforms.Prepare and schedule approved content for YouTube, podcast, email, and social channels.Support short-form promotional video and sermon-clip workflows by organizing footage, tracking revisions, and preparing files for review.Organize and maintain the ministry's media library.Coordinate details, files, timelines, and follow-up with printers, vendors, and outside contractors. Brand & Creative (Approximately 25% of time)Help apply the CROSS brand consistently while developing the judgment and production skills needed to take on greater creative responsibility over time. Learn the CROSS Brand Guide and use it to check routine work for consistency.Gather content, specifications, references, and assets for creative briefs and production requests.Coordinate review rounds, record feedback accurately, communicate revisions clearly, and keep work moving toward approval.Prepare approved copy, images, logos, and other assets for designers, printers, and vendors.Review routine deliverables for accuracy, including spelling, dates, links, sizes, quantities, and production specifications.Support production of conference website assets, email and social graphics, paid advertisements, short-form video, and sermon clips.Support print and environmental production, including journals, pamphlets, postcards, promotional packets, church resources, signage, name badges, presentation graphics, and LED content.Support promotional merchandise and apparel production.Learn to make basic creative adjustments — such as resizing, exporting, or correcting simple files — in Adobe Creative Cloud or comparable tools. Prior professional design experience is not required.Route all creative work through their manager for review and approval. Operations & Conference Support (Approximately 25% of time)Help the ministry run well year-round and serve wherever needed as we prepare for and host the conference.Assist with conference planning and logistics.Support the conference media team.Track creative and print-production details leading up to the conference.Keep internal tools, files, systems, and documentation organized and in working order.Notice repetitive or confusing processes, ask why they work that way, and help build a better solution.Support administrative projects throughout the year.Take ownership of clearly defined special projects as needs arise. QualificationsBachelor's degree in marketing, communications, design, business, or a related field.0-2 years of relevant experience. Internships, freelance work, substantial college projects, campus leadership, volunteer service, and similar experience all count.Strong written communication and careful attention to detail.Basic comfort with spreadsheets, shared documents, calendars, and common workplace software.Ability and willingness to learn new platforms, production processes, and technical skills.Evidence of dependable follow-through, thoughtful problem-solving, and the ability to organize multiple assignments.A resume and, if available, a relevant portfolio or examples of college, internship, freelance, volunteer, or personal work. Faith CommitmentsWholehearted affirmation of the CROSS Statement of Faith.Active membership in a local church.Christian character consistent with Scripture.Eagerness to serve the Church with humility, joy, and excellence. Compensation & Benefits$50,000-$65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.Health coverage: CROSS pays 100% of health-insurance premiums for the employee and spouse.Retirement: 403(b) plan with employer contribution equal to 5% of salary.Insurance: Disability coverage and $50,000 in life insurance.Vacation: 15 paid vacation days, plus all federal holidays.Sick leave: 5 paid sick days.
