Marketing Attorney
About the role
A Latitude is seeking a marketing attorney with data privacy experience for a part-time contract engagement with a growing, PE-backed NYC-based marketing agency. The company is experiencing significant growth in contract volume and has a need for additional legal support from someone who understands the evolving marketing and data privacy landscape. This engagement involves working on a broad range of commercial contracting and compliance matters, including reviewing and negotiating vendor and client agreements, advising on U.S. data privacy regulations, and assisting with marketing and lead generation compliance issues. The ideal attorney will be able to provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance with the ability to turn agreements at a fast pace.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and negotiating vendor and client agreements
- Advising on U.S. data privacy regulations
- Assisting with marketing and lead generation compliance issues
- Working knowledge of GDPR strongly preferred
- Experience advising marketing, advertising, media, lead generation, or data-driven businesses highly preferred
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience handling commercial contracts, data privacy, and/or marketing law matters
- Familiarity with U.S. data privacy and compliance frameworks, including FTC guidance and state privacy laws (particularly NY, CA, TX, FL, and WA)
- Strong responsiveness and ability to manage quick contract turnaround timelines

Pay
The annualized pay for this position ranges from $197,600 – 228,800 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
