Job Responsibilities
- Develop initial drafts of survey questionnaires aligned to research objectives, applying best practices in question clarity, logical flow, and bias avoidance
- Program surveys including logic, piping, and randomization, and conduct thorough QA to ensure accuracy and a seamless respondent experience
- Clean and prepare datasets for analysis, including coding, recoding, and variable setup
- Create structured crosstabs aligned to the analysis plan and business questions, ensuring accuracy and consistency across cuts and key variables
- Identify and flag anomalies or data quality issues throughout the research process
- Execute defined analysis plans using descriptive statistics and basic analytical techniques to identify key differences, trends, and meaningful patterns
- Validate findings against hypotheses and flag unexpected results
- Develop draft reports summarizing key findings, translating data into clear, concise insights with supporting evidence
- Build charts and tables that simplify complex information for stakeholders and iterate on deliverables based on feedback
- Own execution timelines for assigned research projects, proactively communicating risks or delays and proposing mitigation plans
- Maintain organization of files, outputs, and project documentation
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior researchers to refine research plans and ensure outputs align to business questions and stakeholder needs
Requirements
- 2 to 5 or more years of experience in market research or analytics
- Demonstrated experience drafting surveys and applying survey design best practices
- Experience working with large-scale survey datasets
- Experience creating research reports and data visualizations
- Proven ability to manage timelines and communicate proactively across multiple concurrent projects
- Familiarity with quantitative methods such as segmentation, regression, or weighting is preferred
- Background in advertiser, marketing, or technology research is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Statistics, Social Sciences, Marketing, or a related field
- Proficiency with survey programming platforms such as Qualtrics or Decipher
- End-to-end survey design with a strong command of questionnaire development principles
- Survey programming capabilities including logic, piping, and randomization
- Data analysis proficiency using SPSS, R, or similar statistical tools
- Strong proficiency in Excel for crosstab development, pivot tables, and data cleaning
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and visualizations
- Highly organized with strong ownership over deliverables and timelines
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy
- Clear communicator who proactively raises issues and surfaces risks
- Comfortable working within defined frameworks while executing independently
