This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to use their marketing and communications skills to make a genuine difference to the lives of unpaid carers across Newcastle. You’ll play an important role in raising the profile of Newcastle Carers, increasing awareness of caring, promoting our services, projects and fundraising activities, and sharing the difference our work makes. A Bit About The Role This is a broad and varied role, so no two days are likely to be the same. You’ll work across marketing, communications, content creation and fundraising, reaching a range of audiences through different channels. One day you could be developing a campaign to raise awareness of caring, and the next creating a short video, bringing a carer’s story to life, promoting one of our services or supporting a fundraising campaign. You’ll create engaging content for our website, social media, email and other channels, using your skills to help more people discover Newcastle Carers and the support we offer. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the organisation to identify and share the stories, activities and impact of our work. It’s a role with plenty of variety and scope to bring your ideas and creativity to life, while working as part of a small, supportive team where your work can make a real difference. About You We’re looking for someone creative, organised and confident in using marketing and communications to engage people. You’ll have experience of creating content across different channels, with a good understanding of digital marketing, social media and email marketing. You’ll also be comfortable working with websites and creating engaging written, visual and video content. You’ll be someone who can manage a varied workload, work independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues across the organisation. You’ll be able to turn ideas into engaging content for a range of audiences and use different channels and creative approaches to promote Newcastle Carers and showcase the impact of our work.
