Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase awareness of cemetery services.
- Build relationships with local organizations, churches, and community groups, and represent the cemetery at events and networking opportunities.
- Contribute to social media engagement, assist with marketing materials, and identify new outreach initiatives to expand the customer base.
- Generate and qualify leads, reach out to potential clients, and schedule appointments for the Sales Manager.
- Consistently follow up via phone, email, and in-person outreach.
- Maintain an organized database of prospects and track interactions to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in sales support.
- Provide administrative support by managing appointment schedules, maintaining records, and preparing reports related to lead generation and marketing efforts.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries professionally and courteously.
Position Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a background in marketing, sales, or community outreach is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and compassionate approach.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar, etc.).
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the team.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community events and outreach.
Additional Considerations
- Experience in the funeral, cemetery, or pre-planning industry is beneficial but not required.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages) are a plus.
- Some evening or weekend hours may be required for events or appointments.
