About the role
The Marketing Account Manager owns the growth outcomes of a portfolio of healthcare system and medical group customers. You are the person who ensures each account's marketing programs are live, performing, and tied to real patient volume. You serve as the connective tissue between the customer and internal teams, owning goals, running programs, analyzing data, and driving the internal work needed to hit targets.
Responsibilities
- Own customer growth goals
- Translate each customer's growth objectives (service line volume, new patient acquisition, market share in target geographies) into a marketing plan with clear targets and timelines.
- Track patient capture performance against plan: lead volume, conversion to booked appointment, show rate, cost per acquired patient, and service line mix.
- Spot underperformance early, diagnose it, and implement a corrective plan before the customer raises concerns.
- Run the programs
- Coordinate execution across paid media, SEO and local listings, reputation, campaigns, and automated patient outreach.
- Build and maintain campaign calendars, launch checklists, and reporting cadences for every account in your book.
- Prepare and lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with customer marketing and operations leaders, presenting insights on what worked, what didn’t, and next steps.
- Drive cross-functional execution
- Partner with Customer Success, Implementation, Product, and Engineering to deliver integrations, workflows, and campaign requirements on time.
- Collaborate with paid media and content specialists to brief work, review output, and uphold quality standards.
- Feed customer insights back into Product to improve the platform for future accounts.
- Project manage everything
- Maintain a single source of truth for each account: scope, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, and status.
- Run structured status updates internally and externally to ensure nothing slips silently.
- Close the loop on every commitment made to a customer.
Requirements
- 3+ years in account management, digital marketing, growth marketing, or agency-side client services. Healthcare experience is a strong plus.
- A track record of owning performance numbers, not just deliverables.
- Strong project management discipline and comfort running multiple accounts and timelines simultaneously.
- Fluency with the modern marketing stack: analytics and attribution dashboards, CRM, marketing automation, paid media platforms, SEO, and local listings tools.
- Tech-forward instincts: daily use of AI tools, ability to learn new platforms independently, and comfort digging into data and workflow logic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of engaging with hospital marketing directors or practice administrators.
- Ability to work onsite in the Dallas / Irving area.
Nice to Have
- Experience marketing for hospitals, healthcare systems, or multi-location specialty groups.
- Familiarity with EHR and practice management workflows, patient scheduling, or revenue cycle basics.
- Experience with SQL, BI tools, or building custom reporting views.
