About the Role

NRG is seeking a Research Analyst or Senior Analyst to join our Technology research practice. In this role, you’ll collaborate with some of the world’s most influential brands shaping the future of technology. Our team stays at the forefront of innovation—whether exploring what the next generation of technology might look like, reimagining beloved products, diving deep into the evolving role of AI, and beyond. You will support a wide range of initiatives across the full project lifecycle from survey design to report delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support all phases of quantitative and qualitative research projects, including research design, questionnaire and discussion guide development, data analysis, and storytelling. Projects may include methods such as concept evaluation, brand studies, content optimization tests, messaging/positioning evaluation, creative materials tests, market sizing, and segmentation.
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations through visual, creative, and story-driven reports.
  • Help drive quality control processes at each step of the research lifecycle, from checking survey programming logic, questionnaire proofing, number checking, and proofing reports and presentations for accuracy.
  • Partner closely with internal teams (programming, fieldwork, data processing, design) to keep projects moving forward on tight timelines.
  • Leverage AI-enabled approaches to enhance the speed, scale, and depth of insight generation across research and storytelling.

Requirements

  • Prior internship or work experience in market research or consumer insights.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills to connect the dots and turn complex research findings into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Curious and future-minded, with a genuine interest in understanding what makes consumers tick and asking “what’s changing?” and “what’s next?”
  • Ability to translate consumer insights into strategic implications for technology clients.
  • Natural problem solver with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working with both structured (data and hard numbers) and unstructured (interviews and qualitative) data.
  • Experience visualizing data with tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with data analysis techniques such as statistical significance testing, correlation analysis, multivariate analysis (e.g., cluster/segmentation analysis), and conjoint/discrete choice analysis. Experience with SPSS, Q, or advanced analytics is a plus.
  • Experience using AI tools and thoughtful about how AI can enhance insight work.
  • Self-starter with strong internal motivation to deliver high-quality work despite challenges.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to ask questions and share your point of view clearly and succinctly.
  • Hawk-eyed attention to detail, ensuring high levels of quality control and reporting accuracy.
  • Team player who collaborates well within and across teams, welcomes feedback, and has a zest for learning and growing.
  • B.A./B.S. degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Business, Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

Pay

The target range of base compensation for this role within the United States is $62,000 - $78,000. Actual compensation is influenced by factors including skill set, level of experience, and location.
