About the Role

We are looking for a curious and data-driven Senior Market Research Analyst to help build upon our industry knowledge. This person will explore industry standards, landscape, target audience, and competitive positioning. The role involves designing and executing research studies, analyzing consumer behavior, and tracking market trends to guide customer experiences and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate blends quantitative data with qualitative insights to tell compelling stories about client needs and market direction. A passion for learning about different industries and clients is essential; knowledge of customer experiences and the automotive industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy quantitative surveys and qualitative research initiatives (e.g., focus groups, customer interviews) to gather consumer feedback.
  • Analyze customer preferences, demographics, and buying habits to identify target audiences and map the customer journey.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, marketing campaigns, and product launches to benchmark market position and identify strategic gaps.
  • Collaborate with marketing and event teams to test new concepts, assess brand awareness, and measure the ROI of marketing campaigns.
  • Clean and analyze datasets from multiple sources (e.g., CRM, web analytics, third-party industry reports, primary research data) to find actionable trends.
  • Translate data sets into easy-to-understand reports, presentations, and visual dashboards for cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Present research results beyond the numbers to all levels within the organization in partnership with account teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Marketing, Business, Psychology, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of direct experience in market research, consumer insights, or marketing analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Decipher).
  • Familiarity with web analytics and marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Adobe Analytics).
  • Proficiency in data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Exceptional storytelling ability; capable of explaining why data matters and what actions the business should take next.
  • Valid driver's license and clear driving record.

Schedule

Hybrid basis: three (3) days onsite in Dearborn, MI, with remaining days remote. Some weeks may require more than three days onsite. Travel required for 6-8 events annually, including weekend and evening hours.

Pay

Salary range starts at $61,072 annually, negotiable based on experience.

Work Environment

May require standing and/or walking for extended periods and the ability to lift supplies up to 35 lbs.
