About the role
The Market Manager will primarily cover Jamaican markets, working with lodging partners to maximize production potential and ensure global travelers find the best properties on Expedia Group's platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain strong partnerships with hotel partners, providing data insights and consulting services
- Build relationships with C-Suite and clients to influence strategic decisions
- Optimize partner hotels' products on Expedia Group sites to maximize customer conversion
- Secure additional lodging rates and availability during high demand periods
- Secure seasonal deals and promotions to support brand merchandising and marketing efforts
- Promote and develop hotel partners' engagement with Expedia Group's suite of tools and services
- Represent Expedia Group in the market and build relationships with key influencers
- Collaborate internally to execute business initiatives and drive market strategy
- Provide coaching and training to colleagues and peers
- Conduct regular self-learning to improve skills and influence
- Direct and manage internal/external projects as needed
- Execute effectively based on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Guide and support hotel partners to deliver exceptional traveler experiences
- Participate in in-market commercial initiatives like seminars, webinars, panel discussions, and roundtables
- Travel 20-30% of the time for partner visits
- Perform cost, benefit, and risk analyses to inform decision-making
- Engage stakeholders in decision-making processes to benefit both the account and organization
- Closely close deals and secure agreements
- Develop a deep understanding of competitors' offerings to stay ahead
- Proactively demonstrate the unique value of partnering with Expedia Group
- Adapt to new challenges and continuously improve performance
- Present ideas and directives clearly and persuasively while actively listening to feedback
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in account management, partner/client success, consultative sales, or related field
- Experience in influencing at scale
- Proficiency in English
- A passion for travel
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team
- A strong appetite for innovation, fast-paced environments, and data-driven decision-making
- Prioritization and multitasking skills to meet critical targets, goals, and strategic objectives
