Market Manager

About the role

The Market Manager is a dynamic, multi-unit leader who provides a trusted place for joy and support. You will offer products and services that nurture, inspire, and comfort while delivering excellent customer service and creating an exceptional guest experience in our gift shops.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales, set the tone for the team, and drive performance goals for the home store and assigned area stores.
• Travel 50% of the time to assigned stores and 50% in the home store.
• Meet performance measurables and KPIs for the home store and market area stores.
• Lead the market remotely and manage store staffing for home and area stores.
• Onboard and train new team members on sales techniques, products, promotions, and procedures.
• Provide performance feedback to staff and set achievement timelines.
• Maintain inventory levels to ensure merchandise availability.
• Execute merchandising plans, including advertising, sales promotions, and displays, ensuring compliance across area stores.
• Observe security standards to protect merchandise and employees.
• Handle staff scheduling to ensure shift coverage and assist area stores in maintaining operations.
• Resolve intensified customer service issues.
• Complete daily operational procedures efficiently and ensure area stores comply with standards.
• Implement Lori’s Gifts procedures in the home store and all area stores.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of retail experience, including 2+ years in a store management or supervisor role.
• High School diploma, GED, or College degree.
• Experience evaluating and hiring store personnel.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Flexibility to open and close the store independently when needed.
• Previous specialty or big-box retail experience is ideal.
• Multi-unit experience is a plus.
• 50% area travel required (between OK, MO, KS; other states possible in the future).
