Responsibilities
- Perform demonstrations, installations, new customer and on-going case support of degenerative and deformity spinal procedures involving Alpha Informatix technologies, primarily the Valence Robotic Navigation System.
- Work closely with Sales Agents, Surgeons, Operating Room Personnel, and Biomedical Departments to support the Valence Robotic Navigation System and other Alpha Informatix technologies.
- Conduct on-site training sessions to credential surgeons with the intraoperative system's features, functionalities, and best practices for optimal performance.
- Train and mentor local support teams, ensuring their proficiency in providing clinical and technical assistance.
- Ensure proper system setup of equipment, including the required calibration steps are achieved.
- Aid surgical teams during procedures, ensuring proper setup, workflow, and utilization.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during surgery and provide real-time solutions to maintain the continuity of the procedure.
- Provide ongoing remote support and consultation to local teams, ensuring consistent delivery of procedural standardization.
- Partner closely with the Sales Operations, Customer Service, and Set Administration departments to assure customer satisfaction and company asset management objectives.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including surgeons, hospital administrators, and support teams, to ensure effective integration and adoption of technologies.
- Align regularly with Marketing and Sales Leadership and identify opportunities to achieve strategic objectives.
- Maintain a knowledge base of procedures, implant systems and instruments through Alphatec Spine's education training programs.
- Adhere to written procedures for troubleshooting and support of ATEC products.
- Proactively assist with collection and dissemination of feedback provided by customers.
- Provide prompt and accurate complaint reports per the quality system requirements.
- Continuously increase knowledge of new developments within the assigned market as well as Alpha Informatix / ATEC Spine products to perform as a subject matter expert.
- Complete required administrative duties such as activity logs, travel reports, expense reports, etc. per established policies and procedures.
- Participate in company and industry events such as sales meetings, seminars, training programs, conventions, trade shows, etc. as requested.
- Maintain all current Certifications and Vendor Hospital Credentialing.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Relevant knowledge and experience with spinal intraoperative robotics and navigation technologies.
- Relevant knowledge and experience with spinal implant procedures, instruments, and products.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience, understanding, and appreciation of clinical/surgical environments and workflow.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Windows, and internet applications.
- Strong relationship building skills, a strong work ethic and strong attention to details.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team focused environment.
- Demonstrated success working as an integral cross-functional team member.
- Aptitude to learn medical and technical information quickly.
- Ability to work autonomously and achieve results as both an individual and team contributor.
- Ability to travel up to 80 percent of the time.
- Bachelor's degree in a clinical/science concentration or business, marketing or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of successful sales and/or account management experience in spine or orthopedics; sales, market development, navigation/robotics and operating room experience highly preferred.
