Responsibilities

  • Evaluate market opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Leverage experience from a gas turbine, boiler, steam turbine, or reciprocating engine manufacturer to analyze a project’s value proposition for both customer and OEM
  • Analyzes the value of a business and its functions through the value estimation of assets
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, development teams, testing teams, etc., to deliver business solutions
  • Utilize diverse analysis tools and methodologies to group different business activities based on shared characteristics or similarities
  • Cater to key stakeholders and their priorities
  • Recognize key players and major competitors in electric power developer market
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory and reporting environments within an assigned market
  • Summarize strategies related to key operating issues and key players within the market
  • Research characteristics of an assigned market and its segments
  • Collect information relevant to business strategies and initiatives
  • Summarize the stages of project development lifecycle
  • Assist in developing new geographical areas for the organization's products or services
  • Research approaches for exploring new business opportunities
  • Raise awareness of potential strategic alliances and partnerships
  • Explain elements of the strategy to others and encourage questions
  • Monitor marketplace trends, opportunities, and vulnerabilities; report findings
  • Make sound recommendations when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills required for preparation and presentation of well-written documentation
  • Align power market knowledge and assimilate new information quickly with a sense of how it applies to the vision
  • Identify inconsistencies or discrepancies between data and the vision it supports

Qualifications

  • Strong educational background in relevant engineering fields
  • Proven experience in gas turbine, boiler, steam turbine, or reciprocating engine manufacturing
  • Effective market analysis and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
