Marine Service Technologies Instructor
Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is seeking a Marine Service Technologies Instructor within the Division of Workforce Development.
About the role
The Marine Service Technologies Instructor provides instruction for the Marine Service Technologies program and reports to the Director of Business and Workforce Development. Responsibilities include effectively teaching the program, creating an ideal learning environment, maintaining discipline, and transferring knowledge to students while staying current with evolving industry regulations. The ideal candidate is dependable, highly responsible, self-starting, and able to interact with a diverse student population.
Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction for the Marine Service Technologies program.
- Create and maintain an effective learning environment.
- Balance discipline and student engagement.
- Stay abreast of evolving regulations within the marine service industry.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree.
- Certifications in marine service technologies with at least 5 years of expertise in the field, or a minimum of three years of experience as a certified teacher in a marine service technologies program.
- Ability to interact with a diverse student population.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
