Pay range: 20-27/hr depending on experience Summary Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To) Assembles and repairs various highly complex technical electro-mechanical assembliesTests the functionality of equipment or sub-assemblies.Familiar with standard production concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing field such as Lean and ISOCross training of processes within product line and across product linesWorks on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is requiredNormally receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignmentsMust follow procedures (photodocs) to meet quality specifications for each job and not deviate from proceduresAssists engineering staff in refining assembly protocols and design of equipment and fixturesRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish daily/weekly goalsWorks under general supervision, a certain degree of creativity and latitude is requiredWorking in a clean room environmentNothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities of this job at any time. Basic Qualifications (2-3 minimum, measurable requirements) High school diploma requiredAssociates degree or equivalent years of experience a plus1-2 years of experience in the field or a related areaExperience in soldering Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a GMP manufacturing environment is requiredGeneral understanding of machinery and mechanics is advantageousLean manufacturing experience a plusGeneral computer skills and experience with MS Office (Word/Excel)Excellent verbal and written communication skills; requires interaction with managers, supervisors, engineers, and other hourly associates in a fast pace environmentKnowledge of SAP (or similar) a plusISO knowledge a plusBasic knowledge of engineering drawingsAssembler experienced working with complex electromechanical assemblies and instrumentationExcellent manual dexterity to work on complex, intricate assembliesMust follow procedures for all work orders (photodocs)Work safely and maintain a safe environmentProduce quality work with on-time delivery expectationsMinimize waste and maintain inventory in the work cellParticipate in 5s and LEAN activitiesWork with team to drive continuous process improvementsAssist with new product development
