Manufacturing Technician I
About the role
As a Manufacturing Technician with PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will work in our crystals department and perform a variety of production tasks that require the ability to follow written/verbal instructions and a thorough knowledge of techniques, materials, tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Refers to drawings, routers, and procedures to perform various processes required to produce crystals.
- Performs in-process inspection and testing of crystals, records data as required.
- Learns and uses microscope, basic tools, fine hand tools, micrometers and various processing and test equipment.
- May operate hot plates, ovens, furnaces, ultrasonic cleaners, laser etchers, chemical or vapor plating equipment, poling stations, precision test instrumentation, and other equipment as needed.
- Shows commitment to quality and total customer satisfaction through dedicating skills to achieve zero defect status and works with engineering to support continuous improvement projects.
- Provides information to department leadership and co-workers to positively affect quality and output.
- Follows established procedures with respect to workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Responsible for following company hazardous waste management procedures for hazardous wastes which are routinely generated through the manufacturing processes performed during normal duties.
- Maintains a clean and organized working area, and follows established department cleaning requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation of department and PCB.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience handling small parts with tweezers and using a microscope.
- Preferred Qualifications: Basic computer skills, and good documentation and communication skills is beneficial.
