Manufacturing Technician

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician you will operate high-speed making, packing, and other production equipment in a safe, team-oriented environment. You will troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance, handle multiple priorities, and use basic math and statistics to analyze data and drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-speed making, packing, and other production-related equipment
• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on basic equipment components
• Handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• Develop and analyze data using basic skills in math and statistics
• Make data-driven decisions, act upon them, and accept accountability
• Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Produce high-quality products safely
• Work any shift, including weekends and overtime as needed, while maintaining good attendance
• Flow to work in all areas of processing and packaging; willingness to rotate shifts
• Operate a computer to input and review data for accurate record-keeping
• Work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively within the team and cross-functionally

Requirements

• High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Two-year degree or technical degree (preferred)
• Minimum age of 18
• At least two years of previous manufacturing/technical experience OR a technical degree
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, GMPs, and general instructions
• Ability to carry out both oral and written instructions
• Demonstrated conflict resolution, problem-solving, time management, goal setting, priority setting, and process improvement skills

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand and lift
• Required to use hands and arms for reaching and handling purposes
• Must stand and walk at least 70% of the time
• Must be able to work any shift (day or night), including weekends and holidays if needed
• Must occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds; frequently lift 30–35 pounds
• Must be able to squat, kneel, and bend frequently
• Must tolerate exposure to food allergens
• Must be able to climb steps frequently and stand on or move around platforms, equipment, and concrete floors
