About the Role

We are hiring for a Manufacturing Technician at QuickSnap in Greenwood, SC. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for operating, cleaning, and general maintenance of the QuickSnap production lines. Fujifilm QuickSnap Manufacturing produces QuickSnap one-time flash cameras and waterproof one-time use cameras for the worldwide retail market, adhering to Fujifilm's high-quality standards. Operations include molding, assembly, packaging, shipping, and recycling of spent cameras, with 60% of the camera weight reused to make new cameras.

Responsibilities

  • Tends machines performing functions such as injection molding, assembly, packing, labeling, banding, and wrapping.
  • Performs quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Conducts product changeovers and configures the production line.
  • Monitors machine operations, detects malfunctions, and reports issues to supervision.
  • Makes routine machine adjustments or repairs, such as clearing jams and setting guides.
  • Performs manual packing operations like wrapping, boxing, and labeling.
  • Cross-trains in multiple work areas to support lean manufacturing conditions.
  • Handles raw materials, finished products, and documentation using systems like SAP.
  • Transports products and supplies between departments and/or locations, including loading trailers or shipping containers.
  • Feeds products to conveyors, hoppers, or other devices; prepares materials for production lines and unloads packaged products.
  • Maintains packaging supplies such as wrapping paper, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, and labels.
  • Performs inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintains records, including production volume, product type, quality check sheets, and machine check sheets.
  • Maintains machine cleanliness and performs proper lockout procedures.
  • Generates hazardous waste, labels containers, and meets storage requirements; transports waste to less than 90-day storage.
  • Prepares hazardous waste for disposal, including filling waste tankers and coordinating pickups.
  • Follows Fujifilm’s Employee Code of Conduct and adheres to safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 6 months working in a manufacturing process or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including working a 10-hour rotating shift schedule (Monday to Thursday, alternating between 5:00 am - 3:30 pm and 3:00 pm - 1:30 am).
  • Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to pass required safety training (e.g., lockout tagout, hazard communication, ISO).
  • Forklift certification and ability to operate powered forklift trucks.

  • Basic computer skills (e-mail, Word, Excel preferred).
  • Ability to work effectively within a team to achieve goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.

Schedule

Rotating shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, alternating between:

  • First Shift: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • Second Shift: 3:00 pm - 1:30 am
