About the role
Teledyne Controls is seeking an Electronic Technician to join their Customer Repair Group in El Segundo, CA. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with FAA regulations for Part 145 repair shop by performing various maintenance tasks on aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Accurately troubleshoot faults in electronic circuits and mechanical systems using various types of test equipment.
- Perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, and modifications to avionics equipment.
- Perform preliminary analyses, alignments, light to moderate troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electronics.
- Inspect all assigned maintenance articles and replacement materials for defects and proper identification.
- Repair and rework using solder equipment to acceptable IPC J-STD specifications as needed.
Requirements
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year accredited school in aviation electronics or related field of study, with a minimum of 2-5 years of Electronic Technician experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mandate to participate in the FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol testing in compliance with 49 CFR part 40 and 14 CFR part 120.
- Ability to troubleshoot to board/component level analog/digital with some assistance.
- Read, speak, write and understand the English language (FAA requirement).
- Must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).
Preferred
- Recent IPC-J-STD-001 soldering experience preferred.
- Understanding of FAA regulations preferred.
Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $39,000.00 - $52,000.00 annually. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors including location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
