About the role
The Process Control Technician position plays a crucial role in maintaining and improving Cambria manufacturing and polishing processes, ensuring consistency and increasing yield. This role involves hands-on management and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Perform process control checks and actively communicate results
- Auxiliary with trial coordination as needed by engineers
- Manage routine live control monitoring audits
- Provide manufacturing support to Process Engineering by analyzing data and identifying issues
- Collaborate with operators on process and engineering changes
- Identify and address manufacturing issues with Process Engineering to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Show strong troubleshooting skills for mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other production facility components
- Possess a strong knowledge of data analytics, metrics, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Be proficient in Oracle and Tableau software systems
- Handle chemicals safely
- Comply with safety standards outlined in the Process Technology Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation
- Ability to become certified in chemical handling
- Read and write in English to complete required documentation
- Basic computer skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Industrial work experience preferred
- Experience with Oracle, Tableau, and other metric-based software
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
- Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
- Occasionally work in wet and/or humid conditions
- Work in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Occasionally perform tasks such as separating slabs using a separator tool in both racks and A-frames, climbing in/out of a forklift, walking up/down steps, bending over, and wearing PPE
Pay & Schedule
Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This position may be eligible for a 15% shift differential which would be applied to the base hourly rate for all hours worked during designated overnight shift periods.
