About the role
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will support the Design, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Materials teams in the development and assembly of new and existing aerospace sensors. You will handle a wide array of assembly responsibilities for diverse aerospace sensor products.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the development, implementation, and application of assembly and test processes for mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic instruments.
- Interface directly with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to assist in developing and documenting new products, processes, fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
- Build qualification and first-build products using sketches and detailed work instruction documentation.
- Perform manufacturing operations as required by verbal instruction, engineering drawings, manufacturing or quality documents, and other standards.
- Proactively support process improvement initiatives for new and existing manufacturing processes, fixtures, tooling, and equipment. Contribute to Operational Excellence using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen.
- Perform all manufacturing tasks (fabrication, assembly, and test) to support ongoing production of legacy products.
- Use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and cost reduction. Identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
- Support product transitions, including preparation of product, equipment, fixtures, tooling, documentation, and processes for transitions to other AMETEK manufacturing sites.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings, sketches, manufacturing instructions, characteristic cards, routings, pick-lists, packing specifications, and customer instructions.
- Due to contracts with the United States Government, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.

Pay
Salary range: $40,000 – $55,000 USD per year (hourly). The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market considerations, and geographic location.
