Bloom Energy is pioneering solutions that empower critical industries to thrive in a rapidly digitizing, energy-intensive world. Our solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) and solid oxide electrolyzer (SOEC) technologies deliver energy abundance for all, with over 30,000 fuel cell modules deployed worldwide. We are seeking a Manufacturing Team Lead to join our team in Fremont, CA, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor. This is a fully on-site role.
Responsibilities
- Maintain on-the-floor manufacturing activities while ensuring safety and compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
- Ensure all quality requirements are met and team members adhere to them daily.
- Perform Oracle transactions and IOTs for material movement between plants and processes.
- Provide updates on unit findings with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Conduct cycle counts and manage inventory.
- Create, document, and sustain standardized work practices.
- Train and mentor technical team members using a hands-on approach to troubleshoot effectively.
- Report attendance, quality, or performance issues to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
- Run the assembly team from a process standpoint and communicate issues with supervisors/managers.
- Identify non-value-added waste within the manufacturing process and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; AA degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and lead teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly motivated self-starter and team player.
- Must demonstrate safe work practices and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing terminology and principles.
- Experience creating standardized work and completing station audits.
- Experience with process technician responsibilities preferred.
- Flexibility to work fluctuating schedules if needed.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
- Must have manual dexterity.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Schedule
Thursday – Saturday, alternating Wednesday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
Pay
Salary range: $24.37 – $35.07 per hour.
