About the role
Join the ClarkDietrich team as a Team Lead in our Oklahoma location. This role works in the production department, assisting the production manager by leading with a focus on safety, quality, and meeting production goals. You will train new or inexperienced employees and promote ClarkDietrich’s core values.
Responsibilities
- Verify non-standard orders are produced according to written instructions and the Red Flag system.
- Troubleshoot equipment-specific issues and make appropriate adjustments.
- Print manufacturing and material handler schedules, and not-ready reports.
- Use the manufacturing computer program to monitor orders.
- Ensure all safety requirements are met by all employees.
- Promote ClarkDietrich core values as a role model.
- Fill in for the Shift Supervisor in a non-supervisory role when necessary.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and actions that support continued advancement.
- Promote employee unity through leadership.
- Consistently meet the requirements of Operator 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Safety Responsibilities
- Work safely and follow all safety rules and operational procedures.
- Wear and maintain all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep the assigned work area clean at all times.
- Understand all safety devices and their operation; notify management if devices are malfunctioning or missing.
- Safely operate all lifting devices per manufacturing specifications.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Assist the Production Supervisor by ensuring employees adhere to ClarkDietrich’s Safety, Production, and Behavioral standards.
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined and a problem solver.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred; military experience recognized in lieu of education or experience.
Skills
- Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and converting fractions into decimals.
- Ability to read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer accurately.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting: Up to 50 lbs.
- Standing: 8 or more hours per day.
- Walking: Off and on, 4-6 hours per day.
- Body Positions: Squatting, bending, flexing, and extending both arms.
- Grasping: Both hands, up to 8 hours per day.
- Sitting: None.
- Pushing Effort: Carts of finished product and tools, up to 50 lbs.
- Pulling: Tools and finished product, up to 50 lbs.
- Climbing (ladders/stairs): Occasionally.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility with exposure to heat and cold.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at all times.
- Noise-controlled environment.
- High activity level with continuous overhead crane and forklift movement.
