Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize machine processes to ensure the highest quality production and minimal downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process optimization and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure all team members follow job instructions (JI’s) and are trained on job expectations.
- Provide strong team leadership by conducting daily meetings and assigning tasks.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineers, Techs etc. to resolve any production issues and ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Investigate and take appropriate action when a deviation occurs, i.e., a part is out of spec, scrap increases, efficiency rates drop, and production issues arise.
- Ensure proper function and safety of machines. Continually monitor and report.
- Lead investigations of all safety incidents during shifts.
- Address complaints, resolve problems, and conduct disciplinary discussions as necessary.
- Ensure all team members contribute equally, effectively, and remain productive.
- Follow and enforce all Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures, and safety practices.
Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited institution (preferred)
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience (required)
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in Manufacturing (required)
- Demonstrated team leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage, motivate, and inspire a diverse team.
- Established experience monitoring, measuring, and reducing scrap rates.
- Prior strong focus on continuous improvement or lean processes.
- Experience on ERP systems and MS Office.
- Experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Problem-solving and adaptability skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize.
- Able to read, speak, understand and follow instructions in English.
- Must be able to wear and properly use the required personal protective equipment.
- Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e., US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations).
