Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the assembly team.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure assemblies meet production timeline and quality expectations.
- Provide hands-on support in assembling components as needed.
- Create assembly station work instruction.
- Train new employees on proper assembly techniques, tool usage, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Inspect work performed by team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment; ensure tools and materials are used and stored properly.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and other departments to coordinate workflow.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or construction leadership role, preferably as a foreman or team lead.
- Strong background in mechanical assembly and/or carpentry.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials as needed.
- Able to foster a team-oriented environment and motivate team members.
- Able to use technology such as a table, laptop, and navigate MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in leading production work which utilizes forklifts and overhead lifting.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and manufacturing best practices.
- OSHA or other safety certifications.
Work Environment
- Hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Involves standing, lifting, bending, and working with tools and materials for extended periods.
- Requires wearing personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
