Manufacturing Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires, and trains employees
• Plans, assigns, and directs work
• Applies performance appraisals
• Addresses complaints and resolves problems
• Executes instructions from production management
• Reviews production and operating reports
• Inspects machines and equipment
• Assists engineering personnel
• Enforces rules and resolves worker complaints

Requirements

• One year certificate from college or technical school and /or three to four years related experience and /or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Directly supervises employees in the assigned production area

Qualifications

• Reviews production schedules
• Establishes priorities and sequences for manufacturing products
• Maintains housekeeping and safety standards
• Interprets policies and procedures
• Observes assigned employees to ensure compliance with production and quality standards
• Completes, maintains, and forwards relative productions data

Essential Purpose Of This Position

Supervises and coordinates all shift activities of assigned production area(s) engaged in the manufacture of wire and cable products.
